Understanding Passport Keys

Passport Keys are automatically verified milestones that become part of a member's Foundry Passport. Objective tasks verify from Foundry records; contribution-based Keys use four questions plus two proof items. A Key must be attested before it counts toward stage progression or receives its one-time milestone XP.

The five Key milestones

XP is a milestone bonus. It is added to the member's normal lifetime XP; it is not a separate balance.

1

Security Key

+25 XP

Awarded when Security Basics is verified and attested to the Foundry Passport. This is the first Passport Key and moves a new Passport from UNFORGED to FORGED.

2

Builder Key

+50 XP

Recognizes verified building or Forge participation. It counts as a Passport Key, but the Passport remains FORGED until the third attested Key.

3

Research Key

+75 XP

Recognizes approved research contribution to The Foundry. The third attested Passport Key advances the Passport to TEMPERED.

4

Partner Key

+100 XP

Recognizes an official Foundry partner milestone. It counts toward Passport progression and occupies the fourth Key slot.

5

Beta Tester Key

+100 XP

Recognizes meaningful verified testing contribution. The fifth attested Passport Key advances the Passport to MASTERWORK.

Verified vs. attested

A verified credential means the underlying milestone passed an objective Foundry record check or the automatic evidence verifier. There is no member-by-member admin approval step. An attested Key is the version written into the Passport credential flow; only attested Keys count toward FORGED, TEMPERED and MASTERWORK.
